Media Advisory: Vehicle Used in Armed Kidnapping Located. Suspects Still At Large
The 1996 blue Nissan Sentra used in last night’s armed kidnapping has been located near the Taunton/Lakeville border. The abandoned vehicle was spotted by a resident of Joshua Lane in Taunton this morning. State Police are currently taking possession of the vehicle to process it for evidence.
State and local police are investigating the kidnapping at gunpoint of a woman by two individuals who have been identified as Adynew Alves, 28, of Boston and Stephanie Walker, 28, of Lawrence. The kidnapping is believed to have occurred in or around Boston. The victim was placed in the trunk of the car and driven south on Route 24. At some point around 7:15 p.m. last night, the victim was able to escape from the trunk on Route 24 in Taunton. Motorists assisted the victim and called police. The victim is a 49-year-old woman.
The two suspects fled south on Route 24 in the blue 1996 Nissan Sentra with Massachusetts license plate number 478-PK4. Warrants have issued, charging Mr. Alves with armed assault, assault and battery, and kidnapping. Warrants have also issued, charging Ms. Walker with kidnapping and assault and battery.

Please urge the public to not take any actions on their own to approach or apprehend either suspect. They should call 911 or the Middleboro Barracks of the Massachusetts State Police at 508-947-2222.
