Cancellation of Upcoming District Attorney Sponsored Events

Bristol County District Attorney’s Office

Thomas M. Quinn III

District Attorney

Press Release

March 12, 2020

In accordance with Governor Baker’s state of emergency declaration with regard to COVID-19, the Bristol District Attorney’s Office is acting with an abundance of caution to protect the health of  our constituents.  Based on the information currently available, and in order to mitigate the spread of the virus, we are following guidance to cancel large external events such as conferences, seminars and other discretionary gatherings. In light of this, the 5th Annual Teen Safety Summit originally scheduled for Thursday, April 2, 2020 in Mansfield is being postponed until the Fall. New date to be determined. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope to see you all in the Fall. Notification of a new date will be sent out once it has been decided.

Additionally, the District Attorney’s Office is cancelling our scheduled Free Youth Baseball Clinic, which was scheduled to take place this Saturday, March 13th in Fall River.

In addition to the above, please continue to promote steps we can all take to make for safer schools and workplaces for us all.

• Cover your mouth – when you cough or sneeze use a tissue or your inner elbow, not your hands.
• Wash your hands – with soap and warm water or use an alcohol-based sanitizing gel.
• Stay home if you are sick – and avoid close contact with others.
