Carlos Ortiz Indicted in Connection to Ongoing Odin Lloyd Homicide Investigation

District Attorney Sam Sutter announced today that a Bristol County Grand Jury has indicted Carlos Ortiz in connection with the June 17 murder of Odin Lloyd in North Allteboro.

Mr. Ortiz, 27, of Bristol, Conn., was indicted by the grand jury on a single count of Accessory to Murder-After the Fact.

The grand jury indictment means the criminal case against Mr. Ortiz will now start anew and move forward in Fall River Superior Court. A Superior Court arraignment date for Mr. Ortiz is still being scheduled at this time. Once a formal arraignment date has been set, this office will send out information regarding the date and time.

Mr. Ortiz will not appear today in Attleboro District Court for his scheduled district court pretrial hearing.
