Free Sports Clinics
The District Attorney’s Office believes that youth who are involved in positive activities like organized sports and physical fitness are less likely to engage in delinquent behavior and more likely to follow a healthy lifestyle. As a result, the office launched a Free Sports Clinics and Fitness Clinics program in 2007.
The clinics are a community collaborative effort bringing together public officials, youth organizations, and schools to create healthy alternatives for area youth. Multiple clinics are conducted each year and provide instruction in tennis, baseball, basketball, lacrosse, and physical fitness. Sailing and tennis clinics have also been provided and clinics have also catered to persons with disabilities.
The Free Sports Clinics are managed by District Attorney staff person and former Boston Red Sox Pitcher Brian Rose, along with volunteers from the DA’s Office, the community, and players and coaches from local high schools – all who generously donate their time and talent for the youth of Bristol County.

We just wanted to say thank you so much for today!! My son had so much fun, he has never been on a team and we don’t have many boys around us so it was so great for him to have a chance to learn and have fun with a great group!!
