Taunton Woman Arrested For Thursday Night Fatal Hit and Run in Taunton

A 19-year-old Taunton woman was charged this evening in connection to a fatal hit-and-run incident in Taunton on Thursday.

Taunton Police and Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office arrested Cecily Kilsby-Munafo and charged her with leaving the scene of an accident with death resulting and misleading police. She will be arraigned Monday morning in Taunton District Court.

It is alleged the defendant was driving a Toyota Venza when it struck a bicyclist at the intersection of Broadway and Washington Street, and then fled the scene Thursday night around 11:30. The victim, Michael Alfano, 36, of Taunton, was rushed to Morton Hospital before being Med-Flighted to Brigham & Women’s Hospital where he died this weekend.

A second defendant, Ryan O’Day, 26, of Taunton, was charged with accessory after the fact. He will also be arraigned Monday morning in Taunton District Court.
