One Defendant Arraigned and Held Without Bail for 2010 Taunton Homicide
Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III announced that Donnelle Bates, charged with the 2010 murder of Joseph Dugan, was ordered held without bail during his arraignment in Taunton District Court today.
The arraignment was handled by District Attorney Quinn and the ruling to hold Mr. Bates without bail was made by Judge Gregory Phillips. Mr. Bates is due back in court January 7th.
State Police detectives assigned to District Attorney Quinn’s office and Taunton Police detectives arrested Jeremy Rhoden, 25, and Donnelle Bates, 26, early this morning without incident in Taunton. Both defendants reside in Taunton.
Mr. Dugan, who was 33 years old, was shot to death outside an apartment building at 11 Granite Street just after midnight on the morning of July 8, 2010.
Mr. Rhoden is slated to be arraigned on a charge of murder this afternoon in Taunton District Court.
